Learn To Let Go Of Others’ Opinions
In the world we live in today, with instant access to social media comments and “likes” others may or may not give us, we face a potential threat every day: the opinions of others. My generation, I fear, is learning all too well to listen to these opinions and give them too much weight as we make choices about how to live our lives.

Dare To Be Original
History is full of stories of accomplished people whose voices or ideas were at first rejected. Walt Disney was turned down by 300 banks before he found backing. Numerous record labels rejected the Beatles at first. Abraham Lincoln was defeated multiple times running for different leadership positions prior to finally being elected President. What if each of these people had grown up living on social media and had trained themselves, perhaps subconsciously, to worry too much about what others thought about their ideas and the mark they wanted to leave on the world? Might some of them have reined in their ideas? Might some of them have conformed more and been less original and daring in their thinking?
Commit To Your Vision, Let Others Commit to Theirs
One of the most beautiful things about each of our lives is that it is unique. Therefore, what any single one of us envisions as an exciting goal may or may not be instantly popular with others—especially if others cannot quite see what we envision, in an early concept. Perhaps others cannot imagine what we can. And perhaps we cannot imagine what another can. Expending the energy to quash or negatively judge another’s dreams or vision seems like an unfortunate use of our energy. Instead, what if we each focus on doing our best, with enthusiasm, while also cheering on others, as they journey towards their own dreams?

Let’s cheer each other on. Let’s dream big. Let’s dare to imagine great things. No limits, just kind-hearted enthusiasm for the good things we ourselves— and others— hope to achieve.
